THE CONCIERGE : 10 SPRING DESTINATIONS BY INDIA CARDONA

i’m thrilled to be sharing this guest feature from one of my favourite taste makers, the ever so chic and wonderfully down to earth - india cardona. i’ve followed india on instagram for some time, and we met irl when she joined me to celebrate the launch of my tableware collection last year. if you follow her you’ll know that this lady gets around the globe to some incredibly beautiful places! so, here’s india’s wish list of her top 10 places she’d travel to this spring…

MORROCCO

ROSEMARY MARRAKECH

From the duo behind the coveted homewares brand LRNCE, every inch of this intimate Riad is an interior-lover’s dream. They’ve transformed the five-bedroom property into a mesmerising guesthouse with their creativity showcased in every detail. Make sure you also visit their beautiful studio-meets-store and ensure you’ve left space in your suitcase for inevitable purchases.

FARASHA FARMHOUSE

Another beautiful new opening near Marrakech, Farasha Farmhouse is a vibrant escape hidden in the outskirts of the city. Seclusion and serenity awaits in this charming Farm Stay with design that wouldn’t be out of place in the Californian desert. There are occasional events and day passes available if you aren’t staying overnight.

PORTUGAL

SANTA CLARA 1728

I’ve only heard amazing things about Lisbon but haven’t made it out there yet, and this hotel has been in my IG saved folder for years! I just love the minimal simplicity of it - the perfect serene spot to recoup after a day spent exploring.

MARQUI

This private mansion turned boutique hotel is giving real Slim Aarons Palm Beach vibes. Close to Lisbon, a 15 minute walk from the beach and a night club in the basement - what more could you ask for? They can even pick you up in their '71 Mercedes. I have Lindsey Holland and Estée Lalonde to thank for introducing me to this one.

UK

THE THREE HORSESHOES BACKCOMBE

Tucked away just outside of Bruton, The Three Horseshoes is a pub with rooms and forms the latest addition to the area’s bustling food scene. There’s so much to explore nearby, from art galleries and gardens to boutique shops.

Aller features design-led shepherds' huts nestled in the sprawling fields of Dorset. It’s so thoughtfully curated, from firepit suppers, marshmallows to toast and wellies for your stay, to reflexology + yoga on offer.

ITALY

CASA LAWA

Casa Lawa is a quirky guesthouse with just two rooms, views of Mount Etna, bright colours and a nostalgic energy. They foster community with a kitchen operated by a rotation of chefs in residency and a program of workshops. Food often comes from the garden (we picked fresh cherries for pud) and you can visit even if you’re not staying. They can also organise meals or aperitivo on the beach, which look so idyllic.

MASSERIA MOROSETA

Moroseta paved the way for design-led properties in Puglia as one of (if not) the first modern Masserias. With just six rooms and a laser focus on food it’s just as much a culinary experience as a relaxing holiday. Before dinner you’ll spot head chef Giorgia wandering off into the grounds to pick fresh herbs. Dinners are served communally and we’ve loved befriending our table neighbours. We’ve visited for the last two years and have every intention of visiting again, it’s just so zen and dreamy being amongst olive groves that stretch out to the sea. Dinners are also open to outside guests.

PARIS

CHATEÂU VOLTAIRE

One of the chicest spots to stay in Paris if you ask me - it’s sophisticated, sexy and an interiors lover's dream (The panelling! The box-pleat upholstery! The lighting! The earthy tones!). Inside the hotel you’ll feel like you’re in a countryside estate, but really you’re located just a stones throw from The Tuileries. Don’t miss the spa hidden in the basement, which is actually now bookable for external guests too. There’s also a lovely ground floor Brasserie, l'Emil, and I still think about the bread one year on.

LE GRAND MARAZIN

There’s no doubt that the interiors at Le Grand Marazin will put a smile on your face - so much colour and creativity throughout! Part of the group that’s behind some other seriously chic hotels in France, it’s high on my list for a weekend in Paris!
