DIAMOND SALAD SERVERS : GREEN LEOPARD STONE

inspired by the shapes of antique turned wooden stools, headboards and banisters seen during my travels in Europe.

produced with Asili, who are bridging the gap between design and traditional African crafts.

each set of servers are hand carved from green leopard stone, this material is a hard stone and handled only by master carvers. the colour and patterning of each piece isn’t revealed until the stone is polished back, making each piece unique.

green leopard stone is a variation of serpentine stone found in zimbabwe. this particular rock has been responsibly sourced from a family owned quarry.

clean with gentle soap and a soft sponge, do not use with any harsh or corrosive cleaning products. avoid knocking against other hard surfaces to reduce chipping or breakages.

due to this being a natural material, variation of colour and surface pattern between each piece is to be expected, though you can choose your preference between mid or dark green. mid green is characterised by more areas of lighter patterning & veining, and dark green characterised by fewer areas of patterning and more dark green surface
